Garrett Godwin joined Eagle Oil & Gas Co. in 2017 as vice president of land. Godwin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in History and went to work as an independent landman. In 2011, he co-founded Brown, Godwin & Co., a land brokerage firm, where he worked until joining Eagle.
The company acquired a 75% working interest and operations in the project involving 23,500 acres of leases on two prospects in East Texas. The companies plan on drilling seven horizontal wells in 2017.
A second Woodford well, the Bruce and Bar A55A56-2303 N02WS is staked. This proposed 10,000’ lateral is located two miles east of the producing Hentz well, and is expected to spud in February 2017.
QEP acquired a 75% operated working interest with Eagle retaining a 25% interest in the project area. First well is expected in the first quarter of 2016.
